Well, it’s that time of year again. That time of year when birds are chirping, flowers are blooming, trees are budding, and you ask yourselves, “What excuse can we come up with this year?”
Guess what? There is no escape. I’ve taken the liberty of checking your social calenders and have verified it through your boss, you’re off that day, so we expect to see you there! Where you ask? The Talkingtons’. Why? To celebrate the “Sunday Evening Activities Year That Was.”
Now don’t even think about missing this one. It’s the can’t miss event of, well, May 6th, 2011, in East Berlin. What are we gonna do? What should we expect? Aw man, strap on your seat-belts – there’s gonna be food, komodo dragons, campfires, a dancing grizzly bear (weather permitting), games, story telling by the guy who played Steve Urkel, a possible double-elimination Wii tournament, and, by special request, I’ll be re-enacting a scene from one of my favorite movies “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2.”
We expect to see you all there, we don’t want a repeat of my 7th birthday party, (no one showed, but my therapist says they were the ones who missed out). What do you need to do to get in on this exciting deal you ask?!?!?! Just email Stacia, and let us know who will be coming with you and what side dish you will be bringing to share. We will provide the meats.
So, to wrap it up,
Friday, May 6, 2011, at the Talkingtons’, 5:30 PM-10:30 PM.
Last year there was no time limit, but Jamie Myers stayed until October.
Again, please contact us and let us know if you will be able to make it.

Our high school youth are following the Biblical mandate to go into all the world.
Jessie is taking her third trip to Peru this summer to help churches and minister to people there.
Steph is going to Bolivia with Samaritans’ Purse to share God’s love by distributing shoeboxes to children there.
Along with this international reach… some of our middle school youth, Connor and Sara will be going to Kentucky to assist a young church there reach it’s community.
It is truly a blessing to see these youth with a desire to serve our Lord and going out, reaching others for Him.
Please keep them, and their families, in your prayers this summer as they serve on the various mission fields.
YEC this year was great with worship by Ember Days and the teaching by Word Play.
Below are some pictures from the event:
A great time of fun and discipleship.
