If you have any questions, contact Pastor Bill. Hope to see you there!!!!
The “Zone”, The “Cafe” or what???
We have moved in to the space that the youth will be using for most of their activities. Originally, the tentative name of the space was “The Zone”, but now that it is complete and people have seen it, it seems to be more like a “Cafe”. The space will also be used by children and adults, not solely for youth, so what name would be conducive for all of the functions being held there?
Here is a picture of where the “large groups” meet…
And here is the area to the left of that where we have designed a more relaxing area for study and fellowship….
So what do you think? What should the area be called??
What are your thoughts about the space and it’s use??
Welcome!
Did you stop by while you were out “trick or treating”? If so, thanks!, we enjoyed meeting you!
We try to keep this area current with what is happening with the youth at Hanover Fellowship. Our next activity is Turkey Bowling which will be next month (November). Please check back soon to see information about that activity.
We do try to have fun, building relationships with each other while we teach them about Jesus, drawing them into a closer walk with Him and equipping them to share with others.
Please feel free to browse around and if you have any questions, just click the contact us button above to get in touch with us.
If you did stop by during the “trick or treating”, then please let us know about your visit.
We hope to see you again soon!
They are coming to our door!
On Tuesday, October 25th from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, the children in Hanover will be walking the streets and willingly coming to our door! Yes, it is the annual time of “trick or treating”, the one time of the year where people will walk by the facility and may actually be planning on stopping by.
We are planning on providing a place for those walking in the neighborhood to take a break, use the restrooms if needed, and even tour the facility if they want. We will be providing hot beverages to warm them on a cool night and provide candy for the children. Think of it as a “rest stop” for those walking through the neighborhood that evening.
We will not have “Halloween” colored lights or decor and those participating will not be wearing costumes of any kind. We are simply saying that we are in the neighborhood and want to be a part of it. This will open the door for people to come to us (and Jesus) in time of trouble and know that people care. We will be meeting the people where they are, and it will be easy because they will be coming to us!
The youth are spearheading this activity. Please consider bringing candy on Sunday to share for this activity. The youth will be preparing for it Sunday evening.
If you have any questions, or want to be a part, you may contact Jamie Myers, Jason Talkington or myself (Pastor Bill).
Sneak Peek #3 – A Casual Place to Study the Bible
As the downstairs is being completed, we wanted to make a casual place for youth and adults to relax and study God’s Word. Pictured here are some of the cafe tables and stools that were being assembled today.
There will be some couches as well located near the ambiance of an electric fireplace.
This will be a great place for youth and small groups to meet.
The area is tentatively called “The Zone” and like other parts of facility, it is not geared for anyone one “group” (not specifically for the youth), but it is a multi-use area, available to all.
See You At The Pole
Today is SYATP and we have several youth meeting at the flagpoles of their schools to pray for the school, teachers, classmates, etc. Those who are homeschooled may feel left out, but you can also pray for your school (your home), your teacher (parent), and your classmates (siblings).
I hope to share stories from youth later today about how the event went at the different schools.
Please keep all of our youth and the schools in prayer.
Minute to Win it Postponed
The games to be used have been selected and preparations are underway, but with the anticipated “move in” to the new facility this weekend, a lot of time will be spent preparing the facility for the first service. With that in mind, I am postponing the Minute to Win it event to a later date TBD.
